There are so many lessons that I wish I had learned when I was young enough to appreciate and apply them. The problem with wisdom and often life, in general, is that they were learned afterward, long after we needed them. The good news is that other people can benefit from our experiences and teachings.

Life is a learning process. You can learn important life lessons by reading, watching instructional videos, or through experience. You can save a lot of time and energy by learning from the experiences of others.

No one has it all figured out.


being nice to overrate, be kind, be fair, be understand, not “nice”


To love is to be vulnerable. Let your guard down.


Good or bad, you can learn from everybody


Embrace all of your emotions, don’t ignore them, don’t mask them, embrace them.


Traveling alone is better than with bad company.


Unlearning is just as important as learning.


Maturity is accepting you won’t get answers to the things that hurt you the most- heal anyway


No one prepares you to watch your parents grow older.


Owning up to your mistakes/doing what you say you’d do.


One of the most important decisions you’ll ever make in life is who you have children with. Choose wisely.


When playing games with children, let them win.


You don’t have to learn everything the hard way.


One day, you will need to be forgiven, so learn to forgive others.


Instead of buying your children what you didn’t have, teach them what you didn’t know.


Never let your inner child die


If you care too much about what other people think, you’re effectively their slave


Be so busy improving your life that you don’t have time to criticize others.


Everyone you love will eventually die, spend your time what your loved ones- keep them close.


No one is a mind reader, voice how you feel.


Never feel bad about promoting yourself


Hang out with people from different races, ethnicities, and socio-economic classes.


Listen to understand, not to respond


You can’t pour from an empty cup. Take care of yourself first.


Spending time alone is one of the best things you can do.


Remember that 80% of the success in any job is based on your ability to deal with people


Compliment the meal when you’re a guest in someone’s home


Show respect for everyone who works for a living, regardless of their jobs trivial.


Final Thoughts

It doesn’t matter how old you are or where you are in life. Learning is the greatest lesson in life. And it is a must for anyone who wants to succeed in life. You must continue to grow and develop to fully live your life.

Remember, it’s your life. And you know what’s best for you. Don’t let others think for you. Walk your path boldly knowing that life is on your side. What lesson are you taking today to change your life?
