Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless pork chops about ½–¾ inch thick
  • ¼ cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon sesame oil optional
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch optional, for thickening the sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cold water if using cornstarch
  • Cooking oil spray as needed
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon sliced green onions for garnish (optional

Instructions

  • Prepare the Pork Chops: Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil and arrange the pork chops in a single layer, leaving space between them.
  • Make the Teriyaki Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. If you prefer a thicker glaze, simmer the sauce in a small saucepan and stir in the cornstarch mixed with cold water. Set aside some clean sauce for serving.
  • Air Fry the Pork Chops: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F if recommended by your appliance. Place the pork chops in the basket and cook for approximately 8–12 minutes, flipping halfway through. Cooking time will depend on thickness and your air fryer model.
  • Brush With Teriyaki Glaze: Brush the pork chops with teriyaki sauce during the final few minutes of cooking. Continue cooking until the thickest part reaches an internal temperature of 145°F. Use an instant-read thermometer to check for doneness.
  • Rest and Serve: Transfer the pork chops to a clean plate and let them rest for at least 3 minutes. Brush with the reserved clean sauce and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve warm with rice or your favorite vegetables.

Notes

  • Cooking time depends on the thickness of the pork chops and your air fryer.
  • For food safety, cook pork to an internal temperature of 145°F and allow it to rest for at least 3 minutes.
  • Apply sugary teriyaki glaze near the end of cooking to help prevent burning.
  • Keep any sauce intended for serving separate from sauce that has touched raw pork.
  • Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for 3–4 days. Reheat leftovers to 165°F.
