Ingredients

Apple Cinnamon Biscuit Bake

  • 2 apples Granny Smith or Honeycrisp, peeled and diced
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • ¼ tsp salt

Cream Cheese Glaze

  • 2 oz cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Prepare the Oven and Baking Dish: Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and set it aside.
  • Make the Cinnamon Butter Mixture: Add the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt to the prepared baking dish. Stir until everything is evenly combined.
  • Add the Apples: Peel and dice the apples into small, even pieces. Add them to the cinnamon butter mixture and gently toss until the apples are well coated.
  • Prepare the Biscuits: Cut the refrigerated biscuit dough into bite-sized pieces. Arrange the biscuit pieces over the cinnamon-coated apples, then gently fold everything together. Avoid overmixing the dough.
  • Bake Until Golden: Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the biscuit pieces are puffed and golden brown and the apples are tender. Check the center to make sure the biscuit dough is fully cooked.
  • Prepare the Cream Cheese Glaze: While the bake cools slightly, whisk the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth. Add a little more milk if needed to reach a pourable consistency.
  • Drizzle and Serve: Let the Apple Cinnamon Biscuit Bake rest for a few minutes. Drizzle the cream cheese glaze over the warm bake, then serve immediately.

Notes

  • For the best texture, use firm apples such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp. Cut the apples into similar-sized pieces so they cook evenly.
  • Avoid overmixing the biscuit dough after cutting it into pieces. Gentle handling helps keep the biscuits soft and fluffy.
  • For an extra-crunchy topping, sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts over the bake before putting it in the oven.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or an additional drizzle of maple syrup for an especially cozy dessert.
  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days. Reheat individual portions in the microwave or warm the entire dish in a 350°F oven until heated through.
