Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • ½ cup chopped pecans optional
  • ¼ cup toffee bits optional
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon optional
  • 4 medium apples such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp

Instructions

  • Prepare the Creamy Base: Place the softened cream cheese in a mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the Sweetness: Add the brown sugar and vanilla extract. Beat until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  • Layer in the Caramel: Transfer the cream cheese mixture to a shallow serving dish. Spread it into an even layer, then spoon the caramel sauce over the top.
  • Add the Toppings: Sprinkle the chopped pecans, toffee bits, and cinnamon over the caramel layer. Add as much or as little topping as you prefer.
  • Prepare the Apples: Wash and dry the apples thoroughly. Cut them into wedges or slices that are easy to pick up and dip.
  • Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the caramel apple dip for about 30 minutes before serving. Arrange the apple slices around the dip and serve chilled.

Notes

  • For the smoothest dip, allow the cream cheese to soften at room temperature before mixing.
  • Granny Smith apples provide a delicious tart contrast to the sweet caramel, while Honeycrisp apples add extra natural sweetness and crunch.
  • Keep the sliced apples separate from the dip until serving to help maintain their crisp texture.
  • Pecans and toffee bits are optional, so you can easily customize the topping to suit your taste.
  • For a party, prepare the dip ahead of time and keep it refrigerated until you're ready to serve.
  • Serve with apple slices, pear slices, pretzels, or other favorite dipping snacks.
  • Store leftover dip covered in the refrigerator and enjoy within about 3–4 days for the best quality.
  • This recipe is intended to be served chilled and does not require reheating.
