Ingredients

  • 2 cans tuna drained
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 stalks celery finely diced
  • ¼ cup red onion finely diced
  • ¼ cup dill pickles chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon salt or to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 large croissants
  • 4 leaves lettuce
  • 1 large tomato sliced

Instructions

  • Drain the tuna well and place it in a medium mixing bowl. Break it apart gently with a fork.
  • Add the mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, celery, red onion, chopped pickles, dill, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper.
  • Mix everything until the tuna salad is creamy and well combined.
  • Cover and refrigerate for about 15 minutes so the flavors can blend together.
  • Slice each croissant in half horizontally.
  • Place lettuce leaves and tomato slices on the bottom half of each croissant.
  • Spoon the tuna salad generously over the vegetables.
  • Close each sandwich with the top half of the croissant.
  • Serve immediately with chips, fresh fruit, or a simple green salad.

Notes

  • Drain the tuna thoroughly to keep the filling creamy instead of watery.
  • Chill the tuna salad for 15–30 minutes for the best flavor.
  • Assemble the sandwiches just before serving to keep the croissants flaky.
  • Fresh bakery croissants provide the best taste and texture.
  • Add sliced avocado, cucumber, bacon, or cheese for extra flavor.
  • Store leftover tuna salad in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Freezing is not recommended because the mayonnaise-based dressing may separate after thawing.
