Ingredients

  • 2 frozen bananas sliced
  • 2 cups cold brew coffee or chilled espresso
  • 2 cups milk dairy or non-dairy
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 scoops vanilla protein powder
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon optional
  • 2 cups ice cubes

Instructions

  • Gather all ingredients and make sure the coffee is chilled. Slice and freeze the bananas ahead of time for the creamiest smoothie.
  • Add the frozen bananas, cold brew coffee, milk, Greek yogurt, vanilla protein powder, vanilla extract, honey, cinnamon, and ice cubes to a high-speed blender.
  • Blend on high speed until completely smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash of milk. If it's too thin, add a few more ice cubes.
  • Taste the smoothie and adjust the sweetness or coffee flavor if needed. Blend again for a few seconds after making any adjustments.
  • Pour into serving glasses and garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a few coffee beans if desired. Serve immediately while cold.

Notes

  • Freeze ripe bananas ahead of time for the best creamy texture.
  • Cold brew coffee produces a smoother, less acidic flavor than hot brewed coffee.
  • Adjust the sweetness based on the ripeness of your bananas.
  • Use espresso instead of cold brew for a stronger coffee flavor.
  • Add chia seeds, flaxseed, or oats for extra fiber and nutrition.
  • This smoothie is best enjoyed immediately after blending.
