Ingredients

  • 4 pieces naan bread
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 cup baby spinach roughly chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional

Instructions

  • Prepare the Naan: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C), or preheat your air fryer according to the manufacturer's instructions. Place the naan on a baking sheet for the oven method or on a suitable surface for the air fryer. Brush each naan lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder.
  • Add the Cheese: Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over each naan, leaving a small border around the edges. For extra stretchiness, combine cheddar with mozzarella.
  • Add the Toppings: Distribute the cooked bacon, halved cherry tomatoes, and chopped spinach over the cheese. Avoid adding too many toppings because excess moisture can make the naan soft.
  • Add the Eggs: Make a small well in the center of each naan and carefully crack an egg into it. If you prefer easier handling, crack the eggs into a small bowl first. Alternatively, scramble the eggs separately and distribute them over the naan.
  • Cook the Breakfast Pizzas
  • Oven method: Bake at 425°F (220°C) for approximately 8–12 minutes, checking frequently until the cheese melts and the toppings are hot.
  • Air fryer method: Cook at approximately 350°F (175°C) for 6–10 minutes, checking early and adjusting the time for your appliance.
  • Cooking time will vary depending on the naan's thickness and the toppings. For food safety, cook egg dishes to 160°F (71°C). If preparing whole eggs, ensure the whites and yolks reach a safe level of doneness.
  • Garnish and Serve: Carefully remove the pizzas and allow them to rest briefly. Season with black pepper and optional red pepper flakes. Add fresh herbs if desired, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Choose your cooking method: The oven is convenient for making several pizzas at once, while the air fryer works well for smaller batches.
  • Avoid soggy naan: Use fully cooked meat and avoid overloading the naan with vegetables or cheese.
  • Customize the toppings: Substitute cooked breakfast sausage or ham for bacon, or use mushrooms, bell peppers, and extra spinach for a vegetarian version.
  • Check the eggs: Cooking times vary by appliance. Ensure eggs reach a safe level of doneness.
  • Storage: Refrigerate leftovers promptly in an airtight container for 3–4 days. Reheat until the center reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Best served fresh: Enjoy the pizzas soon after cooking for the crispiest naan and the best texture.
